Event Details
The 27th Judicial Conference of the Eighth Judicial District will be held April 23-24, 2026. We have great things planned. The keynote speaker will be Jeff Nye, Chief, Criminal Law Division, Idaho Attorney General’s Office. He will be providing legal insights from the Idaho student murders case, including the investigative genetic genealogy aspect of the case regarding the DNA that linked Bryan Kohberger to the crime scene. You will also learn everything you need to know about electronic medical records and entertained by a theatrical production about the separation of powers. There will be breakout sessions with valuable information about AI, legal competency issues and how to ethically navigate unprofessional opposing counsel.
There will also be numerous networking opportunities at the conference as well as at the welcome cocktail reception on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at The Old Courthouse, Rotunda.
